Arched limestone entry with a wrought iron door at a Houston estate

Alarms and cameras aren’t the same thing.

Many people assume an alarm system includes cameras. They’re separate systems: cameras run on your home’s network, and alarm monitoring is its own service. Knowing the difference is the first step to getting both right.

What we install.

Security cameras. AI alerts that tell you what’s happening, like “there’s a person on the front porch,” not just that something moved.

Video doorbells. Answer the door from your phone wherever you are, and hear it ring inside the house.

Alarm systems. Alarms for the home, with monitoring through a company we can recommend.

Access control. Gates, smart locks and garage doors. Keep a master code, and give separate codes to housekeepers, grounds crews and family members. You manage those codes and can delete one the moment it’s no longer needed.

Everything in one place. Access to everything that’s controlled in your home, from a keypad, a touch panel or your phone.

Built on your network.

Cameras run on your network, so it works best when the same team builds the network and installs the cameras. See WiFi and networking →

Monitoring.

We don’t monitor alarms ourselves, but we can recommend a monitoring company.

Best planned early. Possible anytime.

Camera locations, gate wiring and network runs are easiest to plan with your builder before drywall and landscaping. In a finished home, it’s all still possible: we visit, see what’s there, and make a plan.
